Five Lockdown Tips…

Although lockdown is coming to an end, I thought I would write a little blog on how I am staying sane in this crazy time.

1) My first biggest tip in order to staying sane, in this crazy time is to have a routine. A routine is literally the only thing keeping me going. I have no idea where I would be without a routine right now. If you are going to bed at silly o’clock in the morning and waking up in the middle of the day, you are most probably not going to be feeling great.

Keeping to the topic of a routine….

2) A morning routine is absolutely incredible.

  • Set an alarm. Anywhere from 8am-10am I would personally recommend.
  • When your alarm goes, leave your room and head to the bathroom. Do everything you normally would do in the bathroom, but do it all at once and now. Toilet, shower, teeth, face etc.
  • When you return to your room, first thing you’re going to do is make your bed. A made bed is harder to get in. Once your bed is made you do not get back in until the nighttime. Sitting on your bed and under a blanket is all good. But, do not get under the duvet.
  • Open the curtains, and open the window. I don’t care how cold it is. Open your window, even if you only have it open while you get ready, that’s fine. You just need some sort of fresh air.
  • Now, you get ready, get changed. Do your hair, even if you just brush and fling it back into a messy bun. Do your face, make up or not. If no make up, do your skincare.

3) Write a to do list. I know with lockdown it’s hard to find things to do. But, write everything that is possible on there. Even if you write…

  • Go for a walk
  • Eat three meals
  • Watch three episodes of my favourite series
  • Make my bed
  • Take vitamins

All of these things are so positive, and even if you only do them, you should be so proud because it’s so hard to find the motivation to anything at this current time.

If you are looking for some more productive things to do, below are some examples, from my previous to do lists…

  • Instagram follower clear
  • Do wash load
  • Empty dishwasher
  • 15k steps
  • Film tiktoks
  • Book driving test
  • Make vision board

I honestly think we are never gonna have this time again to do nothing. So use it wisely, what have you always wanted to do but you couldn’t because you were too tired or didn’t have enough time? Do this now!! You may never get this opportunity again!

4) Go outside. Fresh air is so good for you, being cooped up all time will do you no good. Go outside everyday, even if you some days you walk and other days (when you are not feeling so good) drink your cup of tea in the garden. It’ll do you the world of good and can make such a difference to your mind and your mood.

5) Finally, this is something I have only picked up this lockdown, but once again something which I’ve wanted to start for ages but always put a side. Journaling. There are so many different ways to journal, but if you are wanting to change your lockdown to be more positive, please just do this for me. Get yourself a notebook, or even just a piece of paper, you can either do this before bed, or at some point in your morning routine. Just write everything down. What you’ve been up to. What you have achieved. What you want to achieve. How you feel. Why you feel that way. Getting thoughts out of your head and onto a bit of paper will make your mind more at ease.

February, Gratitude. March, Manifesting.

Tomorrow is a fresh start, a new month, new goals. But, before we prep for a new month and make new goals, aspirations and manifestations we must look back on last month and recognise what we have already achieved and be grateful for them.

What did I achieve in February?

As February has been a time for the weather getting warmer, I have been able to spend more time outside, which is something that makes me very happy! I have been walking near enough everyday and on one occasion even managed to walk over ten miles in a couple of hours. I have even started to pick up running which is something I have always pushed to the side because I’m too tired or am not feeling it. On several occasions I have even ran to my local park to do a morning workout, doing anything from ab crunches and squats. Exercise is something I don’t want to do but I absolutely love the feeling after a workout, so I am so proud of myself for pushing through and achieving this most days.

What am I grateful for?

I am grateful for so many things right now, such as due to the this pandemic and being advised to stay home, I had to return to my hometown to live with my mum and sister, which I don’t normally do. I have also been able to focus all my time on myself as there is literally nothing else to do. I have been able to work on my spirituality, my blog, my YouTube, my Instagram and all things that make me happy!

Now I have realised what I am already grateful for right now, I can make plans for the future of what I want to achieve..

What are my goals for March?

My goals for March are to keep up the fitness, and to still spent so much time outside as it’s my happy place. Ideally I would love to set a goal everyday to do 10,000 steps, but obviously everyone needs a rest day. This month I also want to book my driving test for after the pandemic so I can get it done and dusted and pass it sooner rather than later. I also want to keep saving at the rate I am because the more I safe the sooner I will get my own home!

What am I manifesting for March?

At the beginning of the year I did a tarot card reading for the whole year, where I get one card per each month of the year and my card that I received for March was a card implying that this month was going to bring change. So, I feel like my manifestations for this month are for the positive change to enter my life and make it better. I am manifesting for happiness and health for myself, family, friends and all around them.

I have absolutely loved making this blog. It’s made me so grateful for things in my life right now, even though things are crazy right now, there is always something to be grateful for. It’s also made me so motivated to achieve my goals. I would love to know what you are grateful for right now and what you are manifesting for the month of March?

My plans for Lockdown.

Just because we are in Lockdown does not mean there is nothing to do. I have a few ideas that I would like to achieve/do in this lockdown. I want to share them with you so you can be inspired as well.

Pumpkin Carving

Due to the fact I was in isolation for Halloween, I never got to carve my pumpkins so in this Lockdown I am planning on carving my pumpkins but in a Christmas/ Autumnal way. Also, I want to use the pumpkin seeds to make some delicious pumpkin seed snacks.

Pastry Making

I decided as it cold and I love food that I want to make some “winter food”… So, I have bought some pastry roll to make my own Pasties. I think I will end up putting cheese and onion in mine or chicken and mushroom etc.. I personally think it would be fun to make them! It will give me something to do rather than just cooking and eating.

Pizza Making

On the topic food I have always wanted to make my own pizza! So why not when in lockdown, while having nothing to do, make my own pizza! Personally, I think it will most probably turn out awful or knowing me I will burn it but once again it it’s something to do and I will hopefully have fun!

Autumnal Walks

With the weather being cold and crisp, and the trees looking more colourful than ever, it’s a beautiful time of the year to wrap up warm and go on an Autumnal walk. Whether it’s a walk around a lake or a field covered in leaves. Hot drink in hand or not. With family and friends or alone. It will be great for your mind and something to do.

A Cosy Drive

If you are looking for a reason to get out the house why not head for a hot drink? McDonald’s? Starbucks? Costa? A local coffee take out? Why not get in the car and go for a drive. Music or not. With family or alone. You can get out the house and go for a drive for something to do.

Christmas Biscuits

I know I am a little early but I love to get in the Christmas as soon as possible. I want to bake some Christmas Biscuits to get me in more of the Christmas spirit. I am wanting to post my recipe on here after I have baked them. Let me know if this is what you are interested in!

Pebble Painting

This is a bit of a random one. But, I think with everything crazy going on in the world there needs to be more positivity and love shared around. So, I wanted to do my bit by painting rocks and hiding them for others to find to put smiles on their faces.

Soup Making

As the weather is getting colder, and the meals are getting warmer. Why not make some home made soup? You could even support small business at this time and purchase the ingredients from a local fruit and veg shop.
